The Hobby Lobby sale is on Florals and maybe even on other spring stuff.  The sale is until the end of this week-- tomorrow?

I went on a flying visit to HL and, wandering around HL florals, saw these teeny little white flowers, right near the display of the bigger Cosmos.  HL is calling the little ones, "Daisy Spray"--

They do have that turbulent, imperfect wildflower look that I like.

This HL photo gives an idea of the size of the little blossoms.  They should have pulled them wider and manipulated the stems a bit--

Very spring-y.  They come in other colors, cream and maybe taupe-- but in this case, I thought the white looked really natural ( for faux).  I got three sprays at 40% off, so $4.19 each.

I always have to cut the long stems down for my smaller milk glass and Wedgwood vases...

I didn't get these below, but now I've seen them in person, can recommend to someone who might be in the market:

Spotted a cute Staffordshire dog knock-off.  It's not perfect, but the naive painting on it reminds me of really early English chalkware, etc.   Cute for a dog lover or die hard traditionalist--

They had him in pink too, but the gold on the collar was a bit bright.  It could be toned down with antique gold Rub'n Buff though...

They also had a very nice pseudo carved duck.  Carved ducks and decoys are so expensive in antique stores. This sweetie isn't wood, of course, but is a cut above the usual of this type. He has personality and warm tones, looks almost vintage--

@Oznell   I just went to Hobby Lobby today.  So many pretty things at 40% off.  I picked up a couple frames that I had my eye on. As I was leaving...I noticed an aisle that they were filling with pumpkins and other fall decor. 👀.   As much as I love fall...it's a I little too early for me.

The little knock off Staffordshire dog is cute. I bought some knock offs from MacKenzie Childs a few yrs back. 

Wanted the matching Staffordshire Dog  lamps but  were quite pricy  $$$ .

  Was shopping at Hobby Lobby yesterday , bought some little Americana  items to decorate with  and a  childs bible.

 With all due respect, I would never spend a penny at any of their stores. 

They love to pretend they're part of the "family values crowd," but I guess some don't realize who they really are and what's behind the many previous boycotts of these stores.    

Rather than go from memory, I googled "H L criticisms", and many articles came up referencing several past lawsuits and boycotts.  If you don't know about them, there's plenty of verified information to read.  Take your pick.

@Mombo1 ,  that's interesting!  I don't think the Hobby Lobby I went to had fall stuff out yet, but then, I didn't get to every corner of the store.  Too early is right!

@skatting44 ,  my store had some charming Americana items too, that I'd never seen before.  Nice selection.

@Tinkrbl44 ,  while the Q's guidelines don't allow discussions here of the merits or flaws of those sorts of arguments, suffice it to say I have no problems with you or any consumer holding opinions that govern your shopping choices.

I saw fall picks before Easter. They had cleared out the Easter pick section in the floral department a week before Easter and filled the cones with one fall pick in each. So it has started.

@Mombo1 the reason stores start putting out future seasonal decor so early is two fold.  An associate told me that 1)  it takes a long time to switch out merchandise, and 2) for those who make crafts for seasonal craft shows, they need the supplies early in order to have their crafts completed by that season.

@Oznell Were you saying that the Q sells Hobby Lobby items with free shipping? Sorry, I reread your post but am confused.

Our Hobby Lobby has 40% off on seasonal items every day. I have never gone into the store when they weren't 40% off.  There are occasional sales on other items, non seasonal. It's really nice when you find something you like and calculate the discount.

I purchase much of my seasonal decor from them as their prices are always really good espeially with their ongoing "sale".

@cjm61 ,  thanks for that info, their system of putting things on sale at HL always kind of escapes me!  And sorry about the confusion-- yah, I meant that they were two separate things, the sale at Hobby Lobby, and the brief free shipping window here at Q, for QVC goods only.
