I worked part time at Saks Fifth Avenue (in addition to my full time job) for 23 years. I've sold Kate Spade bags, when they were designed by Kate Spade. I also bought a pink leather KS bag at the KS outlet in Rehoboth Beach years ago. I loved it. But once you put some necessities in the bag, you have a damaged shoulder! I ended up selling it on Ebay for close to what I paid for it.

Since I worked at Saks, over the years I bought way too many handbags, many marked down and with my discount - got some great prices.

I don't know where you live, but if you have any upscale stores, i.e., Saks, Neiman's, Bloomingdales, just walk around the fine handbag sections and you may realize you are not really missing anything.

BTW, I'm back to carrying my Vera Bradleys from the days I worked at the outlet!

You're right ... we can dream! My dream is a house in Cape May!

I bought a raisin colored bucket bag around Christmas from Madewell and I absolutely adore it. It's one of my favorites bags. I may go back from a suede. The colors are glorious.
