I think it is back to looking at the time. In a 30 day month, you are looking at 720 hours of viewing (since Q is on 24 hours a day). Those are a lot of darn hours to fill. I guess you can olly have so many vendors and warehouse so many products.
Any way you look at it, I will take purses and make up over computers and vacuums.

I was on Ebay the other day thinking about selling my D&B and they are give away prices. If I were to ever buy another new D&B, which is doubtfu,l I would wait till I found it on Ebay.

Oh, how I agree with you. Enough with Doonry and Burke. Bring in ome new venders,PLEASE.

The other thing about D & B you can buy it in so many other places. Most department stores carry it, and so do many online sites. And I find sales of it on line with free shipping.
I wish QVC would carry brands like Hobo (which use to be named Hobo International) and Brahmin. I stopped buying D & B probably 20 years ago and instead buy the above mentioned brands now.

Were I watching, I'd definitely take purses over computer and vacuums... but there's really nothing saying they have to limit themselves to essentially one brand... As for the warehousing and inventory issues, it increasingly seems many items are shipping directly from the manufacturer anyway... Nope, I'm afraid their choice to make narrow branding their operating strategy, which has led to the same stale brands being presented day in and day out for more of less the last decade... and now on two channels... hasn't worked for me for quite some time... It's just plain tedious... But each to their own...

@handygal2 wrote:It's not just the lack of brand variety. It's also the lack of promotional offers and reasonable shipping rates that make the Q non-competitive re: handbag offerings, IMO.
Absolutely @handygal2... all of the above, and then, there's the return shipping... And with regard to shipping, if you really have to, hit me up for one or the other, but not for both, and the original shipping for handbags isn't competitive...

I'm guessing that some of the other mid-high end brands such as Brahmin, Coach, Longchamps, Botkier, Kate Spade... Etc... Don't want the over saturation that has happened with Dooney. I suppose the outlet stores are enough for them.
Wish I had a Brahmin outlet nearby though.. Only a couple of those around!
One of the other channels used to carry the Calvin Klein bags.. Though, I am really surprised we don't see Michael Kors on a channel.. Goodness knows you can't swing a stick around here without hitting one in the dept and discount stores.
I still have my first dooney from the early 90's. It's in the thick green all weather leather.
With the thick strap. The thing is heavy, so don't carry it anymore but it wore like iron.
Definitely don't make them like that anymore.

So true about Kors... And I too wish discounted Brahmins were more accessible, but I think they know what they're doing... Now, as for the oversaturation of Coach, I think that ship has sailed... and it begins to appear that Patricia Nash isn't going to be far behind...

I have been seeing P. Nash bags in the local TJM for the past year.. Not as many as the Kors.. Kors is their meat and potatoes. I'd say Ralph Lauren and Anne Klein are right behind them.
I'm also seeing Aimee Kestenberg in there now.
Occasionally they have a random coach or dooney and Spade.. Not nearly as much though. I saw a Chloe in there this weekend, 799 for a small saddle bag.. Cute, but too much for me.
Ralph Lauren would probably be a good candidate for a show with as many overruns as they seem to have.

Interesting, isn't it... It appears to vary from store to store... I often see a good bit of Kate Spade, always a lot of Kors and a good bit of Nash though not as much as I used to see. I see RL regularly, but in less volume than Kors or even Spade, though Spade seems intermittent while I will almost always see at least some RL... I see Dooney more often than I do Coach, but see them both somewhat regularly, though in limited quantities...
