crossbody bags, I have not worn any of my other shoulder bags. I own three now. The last one I bought is all white, nylon  with guitar strap and is very roomy but light. Such a convenience to have it esp when I am shopping. I used to watch my bag in the shopping card constantly or strap it in to the children's  seat.

But, I am still not able to get rid of some of my other leather  bags esp a vintage Dooney or other leather or colorful non leather bags. Not giving up any of them now and the purpose was to donate the older, shoulder strap bags....purge them. Ain't going to happen.

@Flatbush  I, too, will only carry a handbag with a crossbody strap on it. I really like a handle on it, too (but not the kind that sticks up!) or an additional short shoulder strap like some of the recent Lug bags. I'm very ADD.....if I didn't have a crossbody strap, I'm certain I'd lose my handbag every single day. Seriously.

I posted a similar statement probably a month or so ago. I have only been wearing crossbody bags now for a few years mainly since around the start of Covid. I love them and have at least 6 including baggalini and INKWP. I have about 6 Dooney bags stored away, large shoulder bags that I haven't carried in years. I bought a new Dooney crossbody a few months ago and it's a larger crossbody/shoulder bag but I haven't carried it because it's a bit larger than I thought so it's also in the closet !  I love the crossbody bags with the RFID protected card slots, they are so easy to carry.

I have quite a large collection of handbags.  Looney for Dooney and others.  I have given some away, but I still use the larger ones to carry and keep in the car when we are off touring, holding all my stuff.  Then I transfer to a little and light bag.  I can still use the larger ones to carry, say to religious services and such.

I love my bags, jewelry, and stuff.  Yes, I am culling, but I can still use some larger once in a while.  Got so many bargains on I Love Dooney site.  But ever notice when selling on the Q

that weights are never mentioned?  I have two tiny Italian leathers that I bought on a mega sale last year from ILD. They are cuties and light.

I've been carrying small crossbody bags for many years now. Even before they were a thing. Even when I worked I never carried a big bag. I especially like (probably to much) Brighton bags. I like their organizer bags the best because I don't need a wallet. I'm not a fan of fabric bags because they tend to get dirty.

I've been experimenting with bag/wallet combos. Large tote and large wallet that holds keys and phone. Leave tote at home or in car, carry wallet with wristlet.

Smaller ie medium crossbody bag with small wallet. Easy to carry into stores, grocery etc.

Small crossbody with card slots. No wallet. Ok if I don't plan to switch bags for awhile.

The sweet spot for me seems to be medium crossbody with additional smaller wallet or card holder. I just don't do well with taking items in and out of a purse to "run into a store" as they always say. Guaranteed to forget something. Like recently when I sat in the gas line at Sams Club for twenty minutes, realized I had left my member card in another wallet, was trapped in a long line and couldn't get out until I got to the pump ten minutes later 😫

you and I have a lot in common with how much we love our bags and accessories. Probably like everyone on the handbag forum, lol. If you want to cull your stash, a fun way to do it is invite a friend or two over to shop your closet. Obviously putting aside a few bags, wallets etc that you intend to keep. I have done this and it's so much fun watching friends picking out free purses. My way to bless them with something they will enjoy.
