Need Sac Information for Not-Tall Person!

I am thinking about buying a meadow colored leather Sac handbag but I am short, so don't want something really big.  From the descriptions, hard to tell!

So any advice?  I have a meadow colored leather one in mind, not terribly slouchy or big.  Any advice would be appreciated. I have looked on several sites and love the color!!!!!

What I do is measure a bag that I already have and feel comfortable with that size. Compare it to the size of the bag you are interested in buying. Also if you want information on size that different websites talk about Google " what size handbag should I carry? " or something like that. There are a couple of articles related to that topic. But first I would decide what you are going to use the bag for, everyday, evening, travel, etc.

I'm 5'1" and for me I like small crossbodies. My limit is 9x6x2. I don't do totes, two handles or satchels.

@Desertdi Don't you?  I know what you mean because measurements don't always tell the whole story.  Sometimes large totes are fine, sometimes not, depends. . . And the shape of the bag, even the color.

I thought maybe someone who had purchased different Sacs might have some input.  But yeah, you nailed it!!!!  Thanks.

Re: Need Sac Information for Not-Tall Person!

@Sooner - I looked at the SAK Meadow online and the color is wonderful for Spring and beyond. I agree with the suggestion of others to measure a purse you own and like and compare it to online measurements. I have shortened purse straps using a leather hole punch and, if there is then excess leather beyond the buckle, just carefully gluing it down with Elmer"s glue if it is not feasible to just trim it with scissors. I own a leather hole punch, but a shoe or leather repair job could probably punch an extra hole to shorten a strap for you if a too long strap is the problem. I have heard that they do this gratis. I am 4'11" and the maximum purse width that I carry is 10". I also do not like the cross body style and avoid it except when I feel the need for added security. I avoid shoulder totes and hand carry a canvas tote if I need to carry multiple items beyond the basics in my purse
