I am almost embarrassed to,say, but close to 300 at least. But, let me explain myself. lol. Iam a collector. I have a few dating back to 1885. Imy purses are prolific in the 1920's, 30's 40's 50's and 60's. And every decade to present. I do collect the more Unusual, Bakelite, metal and wooden bags like Enid Collin's. I have a few select from the 200- current including, Moschino, Kate spade at her peak, Frances Valentine , Tory Burch, I have one Chanel although I am not fond of their bags and I have a funky LV made of vinyl, and lucite. I have worn the vintage bags , but most are in excellent to new condition I do need to get rid of them before they get ruined from age. I packed and stored them a few years ago and they haven't seen the light of day. I love this history and story some of these bags tell
one of my favorites is a WWII era cocktail bag. It is gold metal and opens on each side. And has a center section as well. One side has a place for money, a clip and slots for dimes and nickels. The other side has a container built in of face powder, a built in lipstick, a comb and a mirror. The center opens up for gloves. It is small with a chain handle. Sort of tells of the time. A dime for streetcar or bus if needed, , nickle for phone call, or tip in ladies room,
