When I first started here these bags were popular, and I liked them too! I bought a dark green tooled one that looked southwest to me.

I went to get it today, and the strap has literally disintegrated since last year. It's cracked and torn. I'm so disappointed. I think I'm just going to have to throw it out. I wouldn't donate it.

It is well carried and well loved, but the rest of the bag still looks pretty good.

Can anyone comment? Did you like these bags too?

I have one bag that's at least seventeen years old. It still looks brand new.

Maybe see what a shoe repair shop can do, if anything.

I finally let go of my last two Tig bags.  A bit too heavy for me and I just didn't use them much anymore.

I remember that brand! They were nice quality. Perhaps you could replace the strap with a complimentary replacement - coordinating bag straps are a trend now.

I remember when Macy's carried them, my mother had a pretty white one, she got a lot of use out of it over the years.

I still have several of their crossbody bags and use them.  I haven't had any straps disintegrate, but they have cracked.  I know you can buy straps on Amazon.  You might check there.

@beach-mom

I remember when QVC offered these bags too.  I loved ❤️  them!  It's true, they do wear like iron. Sounds like your bag was well loved over the years too.😃

It would be nice to see them offered once again.  I'd totally forgotten about them.  I'm glad you started this thread.

Toward the end of their time on QVC, I remember that the straps and trim were no longer made of leather.  My straps cracked on those bags, but not on the earlier all leather ones.

I never bought any of the Tig bags, not my cup of tea.  However,  as I recall, the straps were made of vinyl.

@beach-mom  Can the strap be removed and perhaps purchase a southwest style guitar strap for a causal look.
