Outdated and very overpriced! You would think with these 10-20 year OLD styles ( ok, not all are old, but some, yes),  they would really drop the prices!  Go to IloveDooney dot com or a Dooney outlet for a real deal!

There are some very classic bags that NEVER go out of style.  The Dooney bags are gorgeous.  I personally don't find them to be heavy.  I've switched now from just a large bag to both that and a crossbody when I'm going out to dinner or to the store and want to be hands free.

I was shocked, not only how expensive the sale prices were on QVC,  but the S&H.  Absolutely ILOVEDOONEY is the way to go.   They've been offering much better prices.  I LOVE handbags and have not bought one in many years (I have plenty!!!),  but I bought a few during the Dooney holiday sales,  which were exceptional.

I like the look and colors of most Dooney bags, but they are just too heavy for me.  I don't carry as much anymore, so I've started, for the most part, carrying smaller bags.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I have a large collection of Dooney bags and I don't consider any of them outdated. The ones I purchased ten years ago still look as good as the day I bought them and I always get compliments. They are my favorite bags...by far.

Re: Dooney Bags

I have to agree about the D&B bags looking good for years. I have some that I bought 20+ years ago, they have been used hard but still look beautiful. I almost always get compliments on them. One of the reasons I stopped carrying them is due to QVC, when I started carrying them they were not as commonplace as they are today-yes I know that sounds snotty, and perhaps it is...  The other reason is because they are so heavy, even without a thing in them. I have a shoulder issue that causes issues with weighty bags.

It's a classic, and it's a style the company doesn't give up on.

Someone on this site suggested ilovedooney.com.  Amazing styles and prices!

I have a mid 80s cross body wallet. It is so heavy that I wouldn't carry it today, and it is so small. I haven't bought a Dooney since then, until a few weeks ago. I bought the new All Weather 3.0 17 drawstring. It is so light. I was shocked. I also bought the Mini Florentine Satchel in Bordeaux. It is a bit heavier but not bad at all. I would love a Nano Satchel. Maybe it depends on the style, but the 2 I bought weren't heavy. I had back surgery 8 months ago so I wouldn't carry anything super heavy.

I'm looking at the Small Lexington on I love Dooney for $99. In forest green. Sort of a perfect size and shape for my needs. Not sure how long this sale lasts.

I think it's because they purchased them in such bulk for better pricing. Most major department stores have current styles.
