I would like to know where the bag was made. They aren't answering that question why are they avoiding telling the consumer where it was made. The name of the company is American Leather so why does it say the bag is imported? What's the big secret? I do not buy made in China as best I can these days I support my country.

Googling it says the bags are manufacture in Dallas TX.

@Isobel Archer No, American Leather Co. -- the handbag company, are all made overseas, not in America.
However, the leather they use to make the handbags comes from America (upstate NY), hence the name.
I believe you googled American Leather, which is a different company -- a furniture company.

@Catastrophe They are made overseas.
Last year they got quite a lot of flack online on social media because they persisted in blurring the line when they constantly said "leather sourced in America." That is true (at least it was true, don't know about now).
But a lot of customers assumed that meant Made in America, which was never true.
The company didn't clarify, at least not online.
Their latest sales pitch seems to have left all that out about the leather. Perhaps QVC's legal department forced the change in their statement.

Weird. I googled American Leather Company bags which, when you click on it takes you to the same website as American Leather Co. and shows the same bags.
Yet the website itself says nothing about where they are made.
However this is on google:
