Lovely.  I stopped buying them when I had dogs, in case they ate the plant..

I'm going to have to resist this year. I stopped buying them bcz they last too long (which seems like a weird thing to say). Last year I gave in and bought a beautiful dappled one, with whites and pinks, absolutely stunning. It lasted well into the summer and then the leaves started to fall off. The new ones growing in came in solid green bcz you have to store these plants in pitch darkness for a period of time to get them to revert back to color.

This year, I'm going to remind myself that I don't need one more namby pamby house plant....lol

Love them and would love to have them . . . but not with the cats.

I don't know as I've ever purchased them but we always had a lot of them in our office.

Normally I would buy amaryllis for the holidays.  Haven't done that this year.

My neighbor gave me some basil from her garden to use in recipes........just a few sprigs. I have two stalks sitting in water-filled old medicine containers on my kitchen window sill.  One is just about done for..........they smell really good

No, I prob won't buy any, not really a fan of them----but have to mention that one of my cacti--assuming its a Thanksgiving cactus--duh- as it has flower buds starting to pop out, think it might be my yellow one--the others use to flower around Xmas and then one did near to Easter. I have one that is near 150 years old that I've has for 50 years, myself--it came from my MILs plant from her mom.

There was a fabulous nursery in my area--called Molbaks-- that had tables and tables filled with so many unusual types of pointsettia--in so many colors and variations---just lovely!! And then they had a tree built with pointsettias and  a bench in front for picture taking. It's completely gone now--so sad!!!
