@JustJazzmom, how much would you advise @Mom2Dogs to trim?  As I mentioned above, I usually don't do more than a third of the shrub.  It's best  not to 'force' a fit of a larger shrub in a smaller space but sometimes that's just the way it works.  What's a girl to do unless there is somewhere you can move it.  LM

I agree with the no more than a third to prune the hydrangea @Lilysmom, sounds like @Mom2Dogs to do a rejuvenative pruning.
