Hi, is it to late in the season to prune my quick fire hyrn tree and my carnival roses

Hydrangea paniculata's bloom on new wood, so you can prune now and not worry about removing buds that will turn into flowers this year.

Carnival roses like most roses can be pruned all season during their growing season. You want to remove any broken, diseased or winter damaged stems.
