gerbera daisys

I have one that the bloom stalk is long and skinny . you cant find these in the garden center at the stores . I was told it was an old fashion gerbera daisy . I would like some more of them different colors does anyone know anything about them . what would be the name for them . also how do you gather the seeds to make new plants. thanks very much
