These plant grower should offer different ship dates for certain areas.  I'm in zone 6b and last week certain parts of the state got snow.  Most of us don't plant till memorial day weekend in Ct.  Last year I ordered tomatoes and they came so early I had to keep them inside and when I planted them when it got warmer they didn't do all that well.  They always say they want you happy so add a choice of ship dates and I will be!

Every presentation I've seen for outdoor plants they mention that they ship according to the hardiness zone map, which also includes the typical last frost date, and show the map,  although it's only up for a few seconds. .  That's what all online plant sellers do too.  I don't know if QVC has the map on the page with the items or not.  I don't buy plants from either shopping channel due to quality issues.  

My problem is, it appears that the USDA is looking to change my hardiness zone again.  I happened to be on a plant site the other day, and it said Zone 8a.  I've been 7b for years.  I Googled the hardiness for my city and got two different answers even thouth they both claimed to be based on the same 2023 data.  And the last couple of years we've had particularly difficult winters that killed a lot of people's mature plantings.  I lost a mature Confederate Jasmine vine.  So, I don't know why they want to change it.  Also, we had a frost within a week of the typical last frost date for my location.  I'm sticking with 7b no matter what they say.
