Just some of the flocks we'll get in the backyard Smile

Susan Louise, you take terrific pictures. Must be using a zoom for some? Love your pics of the Red Wings and Grackles. Is that nesting material in the suet feeder? Good idea! And whatever happened to Mr. Beaker? Poor thing. That's a nice platform feeder the grackles are at. Do you have squirrels? Mine would be all over it.

I saw some blackbirds at my feeders this AM and heard a few outside. Spring is here despite tomorrow's forecast of snow.

Two have been coming to my peanut butter sandwiches (that I put in the suet feeder). The other day the one was singing his song, and every time he did, he spread his wings and you could see those brilliant wing patches. That was so neat!

I thought I'd share a some pics from a couple of years ago...

This 1st one is of a RWBB we endearingly called 'Mr Beaker' (notice his extended deformed beak)...always seemed like he was smiling and was able to feed by putting his head/beak sideways into the seeds..bless his heart {#emotions_dlg.wub}

I hope you see him this year too, bless his heart~

Our RWBB arrived by me a few weeks ago. Saw a group of cedar wax wings around then as well. The CWW didn't stay long - guess they were on their way ""home""
