We casually trade seeds and plants among three families, but no one has any idea what these pointed tomatoes might be. I guess we are the only ones that had them. Someone suggested it was two tomatoes that had grown together, but the top was typically round.

san marzano tomato?
roma tomato?

Roma (Italian plum) are the only ones I know of...

Great for sauce and canning. Kind of like Roma and with few seeds. Very meaty.

I has to be these Oxharts shown above. They are definitely a meaty tomato, very little juice. I will tell the woman who grew these starts for me what she has. Thanks all.

@depglass My cousin gave me my first oxhearts, and they were heirloom, not hybrid. So, I was able to save the seeds. If your's are not any kind of hybrid, you can save the seeds by placing them on a paper plate and drying them out. Once they are completely dry you can store them in a regular letter envelope.
