I purchased hydrangeas from Roberta's and a couple look healthy but no flowers.  The other two are struggling, but seem to be ok.  Disappointed I didn't get any flowers this season.

My grocery store (of all places) had hydrangeas in very large pots for $6 on clearance.  Only three left but I couldn't resist picking up two.  One already has two lovely flowers with another bud ready to bloom.  I was able to split the other plant in two so now i have three new large healthy looking plants for $12.  Roberta's small pots were $20 on clearance.  I've learned my lesson!

I love hydrangeas - I have one that's about 10 yrs old and thriving - I got it at Lowes.  I bought another one at Lowes this year.  I have it in a pretty pot on my deck right now but I'll plant it in the ground in the fall.  It was potted with ivy - so pretty.

l learned my lesson about plants from QVC too - much better to buy locally.  And Lowes guarantees their perennials for a year.

I had to replace some day lillies in pots on my deck this spring and Lowes didn't have any so got some at Walmart.  They're beautiful, thriving, and great price.
