There's a hint of red showing on some of my tree's leaves

I just knew it had to be coming.  I usually see the tell-tale signs on one of my other large back yard trees.  The one up closer to the house, is showing already.

My backyard is full of leaves already - burning bushes turning red already - color in some of my trees - I think it was the cool evenings we've had this past week.

Late last week while walking the dog I heard a strange but familiar sound.  I turned and leaves were fallling.  YES!

The first to start turning for us are the dogwoods in the front yard.  I've not noticed any color yet but they will be very soon.

My first hint of fall is the Canadian Geese are starting to form formations

and practiced taking off and landing on the river in front of my house ....

 

Its really a great sight .. but it is a sign they are getting ready to fly South ....
