Starting garden.

  • Almost done getting flower beds cleaned up and be planting flowers, I have already got 3 big pots planted with carrots, 9 big pots with fava beans planted, got Italian flat beans soaking to plant later today and then I will be starting planting the actual garden. I watched on utube using the power planter augar that goes on the drill. Should make it easier for me. I bought plant cages and I put first 3 together I have to finish the rest of them. I will use them for broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower. Rabbits left the other stuff alone. I use 10 10 10 fertilizer and chicken manure. Works really well. I noticed chicken manure works better than cow manure. I have been hardening off plants since last Tuesday. Have a great gardening season everyone.

My Early Girl has three small tomatoes on it. The yellow squash is putting out tiny squash. I bought seedlings from local sources.
