I love all the Fall and Winter holidays and I do love the snow. But boy, do I love the first reminder that Spring IS eventually coming! For me, that is the arrival of the 2025 Burpee seed catalog in the mail. Sitting down with a hot cup of tea and sketching out what my little garden will look like is bliss to me. Seeing the new variety of plants. The promise of a REAL tomato sandwich and colanders full of dried Ford Hook King Lima beans. The return of the Robins and the smell of fresh cut grass. But mostly, being able to pluck a huge, red, juicy tomato from my plants and slice it on toast, with black pepper. Sigh. It makes the long Winter pass just a bit more quickly. 🐝🦋🌱

I dread Spring because that means Summer isn't far behind. Every one is hotter than than the last, and longer. They're becoming a nightmare.

I've already received 2 garden catalogues. Now to find some time to sit down with them. My calendar is usually pretty empty until December.

1. It's not even winter yet, still fall.
2. The only way I get through summer is to think about brisk autumnal and chilly winter days. The early fall clothing catalogs work for me like the seed catalogs work for you.

The summers are getting hotter and hotter which leaves me without energy or motivation. I love the Fall and Winter and am not in a hurry to see them pass. I take each day as it comes and enjoy this time of year.

I cringe when our local weathercasters are jumping all over the TV stage yelling, "Whoopie...it's going to be warmer tomorrow"...
WHAT??? Our winter temps are now about 5+ degrees above average. di

@Desertdi. We've had some cold nights but they'll just last one or two nights, then it gets warmer.
DESERTDI.

There was also an "editorial" about foreign ag companies growing crops in AZ, and sending the produce back over to their homeland....BUT USING UP OUR WATER.
I didn't study econ...but something tells me, "It ain't right"... di
