Re: Should Roberta's or QVC Disclose That Foxglove Is Poisonous?

When we were little kids, my cousin and I used to nibble on hibiscus flowers.  They were sweet.

Yes, they probably should have mentioned it, for people who don't know!
I'm glad I saw this thread because I never knew they had these, and they are perfect for my deer-infested ( plus other munching critters) gardens!  I just bought 2 sets. So much cheaper than the nurseries when you have a large area. But don't worry, I spend plenty locally too!  THanks!!  🥰☀️💐

I used to sample some plants when I was a kid until I got one which tasted pretty bad. Also remember sampling some berries.  I have no idea why I did such a thing.

I have never seen anything posted at any of the garden shops and some of the other online retailers that I checked do not list a warning. I buy from White Flower Barn and even they do not note it. Many garden plants are toxic, I love Heliotrope, Lantana, Brugmansia and Datura, I grow them every year, and they can be toxic as well.

This is a very pretty plant, but certainly should disclosed that this is poisonous...possibly could be an issue if this purchased and something happens. I read 2 grams of a fresh leaf is enough to kill a person. Deserves a mention even though most people are not going to ingest it.
