Roberta's Battery Operated Sprayer

Got this and the Micro Nutrient Concentrate but can't get sprayer to work. I followed directions for new batteries, battery polarity, etc but the motor doesn't even start when on is clicked and trigger is squeezed. I don't feel like going to the trouble of sending this back but I won't order a 'gadget' again.
