@Kachina624 maybe it's the humidity here then.  I know the clay soil we have is bad, but that wouldn't explain why it does so poorly in pots.

Only thing worse than deer is rabbits.  Cougars will eat them. 

I installed a high fence with metal mesh going down a ways down into the ground around my garden.  Keeps all underground pests and jumpers out.  

 

I am going to have tomatoes or die doing it.
