I have been trying to locate the actual seeds so that I can plant and grow these violets. All I find are pansies, African Violets and violas.
Does anyone know where I can locate a reliable source?

I've never heard of them, so I did a browser search. Select Seeds are listed as a source. I have used them before so it's a reliable source for seeds.

Another 'high 5' for Select Seeds, I've bought from them many times with good results.

Thanks gals, I ordered from Select Seeds. I should have them soon.

Funny, I just got a Select Seeds catalog today. They're on pg 17.

@Icegoddess I ordered two plants and they were (.99 each plus shipping at $17.50. Yeow. Your catalog sells the same exact violet for less

@Puzzle PieceDid you mean 9.99 ea? I don't know how much less since it doesn't say how much the shipping is. It's the same company I mentioned earlier, Select Seeds.
BTW, I didn't notice that it was plants rather than seeds. Sometimes, only plants are available since they may not come true from seed or may be the result of a cross. The plants may not be seed-grown but could be cloned or tissue cultures like named hostas are.

@Icegoddess Yes. 9.99 for one plant and I bought two. The seeds would have been less I was told when I called them to ask why I paid so much. It was the shipping that was as expensive as the plants. I am grateful I was able to find them and buy them.

@Puzzle Piece Those are pretty. I've not heard of them before. and I must be hungry because my first thought was to wonder if they had red and white flowers!![]()

@candys mine The flowers are ususally purple/violet but there are strains of white and a dark pink. Red? Not that I know of.
