Perfectly lovely, mousiegirl!!!
All I could think of was how gorgeous they are when blooming; how fabulous they would be in potpourri.

Hi @mousiegirl
I forgot, did you tell us the name of this one?
In viewing it again, it looks a lot like one I used to have named "Emily."
Mine was a sort of rambler, with many tiny, tiny thorns. a
Yours is not identical, just somewhat similar.

@GingerPeach I have never heard of the rose Emily. I bought a lot from Heirloom Roses, and the rest all over. Most are the old roses, but I also have teas and floribundas, and one or so grandifloras, but my favorites are the heirlooms, such sent and beauty, and practically take care of themselves.
Have you viewed the entire rose thread? There are some beauties there, and I posted some in the Cupcake thread last night.

I'm in the midst of looking over the whole thread now, @mousiegirl
Just glorious. I wish I had your space!!

@GingerPeach Roses can grow well in large pots and more can be squeezed in in this way. ![]()

I had the pots, but with a tiny yard, there just wasn't the right amout of sun in the right spots, and I have a lot of other plants as well in pots.
I do have one wonderful "Gold Medal" (grandiflora) that loves its spot in the ground, and another smaller pinkish one that I thought was a miniature (unfortunately unnamed but a lovely fragrance) that is coming along nicely, also in the ground.
And then my very old (over 35 years) miniature in a pot (for all that time) "Orange Honey."
The "Emily" and an "Ellen" rose were in very large pots, but with walls surrounding my tiny yard, they never were as happy as they could have been. I gave them to a gardener with more space.
Someday I'll move somewhere with a more open yard so I can indulge myself with more roses.
Here are "Emily" (pink) and "Ellen" (peach) together.
Here is "Orange Honey."
and "Gold Medal."

@GingerPeach That is amazing that Orange Honey has survived so long. I used to have a deck of well over fifty mini roses in pots, but when DD came along, I lost a lot of plants as I didn't have time to attend to them, being in small pots needed watering almost every day, and I just didn't get it done. I have a few now of Cottage Farms bought here, and some bought online Direct.

I repot "Orange Honey" every few years into fresh soil, and that helps.
When I moved to this house almost 30 years ago now, I brought two miniature roses with me. One succumbed to the saltier water in this water district, but Orange Honey was a tougher plant.
(I am not altogether sure I would even have moved here if I'd realized the difference in water before moving. That is something I plan to research before any possible future move.)
