MOLE problems ! Any solution ???

They have about ruined my yard this year.  Any suggestions as to how to remedy this? Thanks.

Get rid of the grubs with GrubEx. I think it has to be applied twice per year every year to get rid of them. They are after the grubs.

Re: MOLE problems ! Any solution ???

We used "noise" sticks that are battery operated and stuck down into the ground.  We had tunnels all over and after putting 2 sticks into the ground the moles moved out.  The sticks we got at lowes and I think came in pairs.  They make a buzz sound every so often

and it bothers the moles.  Worked great for several years.  Took them in when winter arrived.

@yyladybugyy Same here.  The ones we have are solar powered and are the only thing that have ever worked.

Re: MOLE problems ! Any solution ???

OMG I had them so bad last year I had a professional come and set traps in the ground. I have valves about a foot down enclosed in such a way that only the bottom of the boxes are open. The valves have to do with my old fashioned irrigation system. Anyway, the PITA moles were filling the boxes up with dug dirt so I couldn't get to the valves. I can't remember exactly but it was somewhere between $100 to $150 to come set the traps. He'd come about every 4 days and check them and it was $75 for every dead body.  This went on for about 3 weeks or so. Wound up costing me a pretty penny but it solved the problem of the valves and also all the mushy squishy tunnels. The traps each had a flag on them and my neighbors started asking me about them thus found out it wasn't just me, it was a lot of us on my street. Won't surprise me if they come back this year. They are one seriously big pain in the youknowwhat.

Moles do not like Peppermint.  We've gotten rid of them every year for decades by soaking little cotton balls in Oil of Peppermint and putting them into the moles' tunnels. Just dig a little hole in a tunnel and drop the cotton ball in.  Use a few, depending on the amount of tunneling.  Works like a charm for us here.  Hope it works for you as well.

We tried those but they did not work for us. We were told they were after the Grubs so you need to get rid of them. As long as we use the GrubEx like it says we have not had any problems.
