Hibiscus and Japanese beetles

I bought this last year and loved it...the only problem was that I fought Japanese beetles all summer. Holes in leave and buds before blooming (particularly the darker blooms). What's the cure?

The cure is either get rid of the grubs that turn into Japanese beetles or don't plant hibiscus.
