Help please...Thanks

[ Edited ]

I am extremely horticulturally challenged. It's actually amazing my sons survived...but I didn't have to plant them in dirt.

Does anyone know what these plants are and how to care for them? The plant card was missing.

@MamaWick - I asked Co-Pilot and this is what I got.  It even said it could give me care instructions, if I needed it!

From the photo you shared, the arrangement appears to be a mixed decorative planter, and the plants look like common florist/gift‑shop varieties rather than outdoor garden perennials. Here’s what you’re likely seeing:

🌼 1. Yellow flowering plant — Kalanchoe (Florist Kalanchoe)

  • Small, bright clustered yellow blooms

  • Thick, shiny, succulent-like leaves

  • Very common in decorative gift planters

  • Long-lasting flowers, easy to care for indoors

🌿 2. Tall upright green leaves — Dracaena (likely Dracaena marginata or fragrans)

  • Long, narrow, upright leaves coming from the center

  • Often used as a height element in mixed planters

  • Very hardy, low‑maintenance houseplant

🌱 3. Broad glossy leaves — Possibly Peperomia or a small Philodendron

  • Smooth, rounded, shiny leaves

  • Frequently included in mixed indoor arrangements

  • Grows compactly and tolerates low light

My advice would be: wait for it: water it when it's dry.

The yellow flowering plant is a Kalanchoe and the taller, foilage plant in the back looks like a palm. Typically indoor plants, but during the summer, the planter could sit outside. Both like a sunny location and to dry out between watering. Enjoy!
