what is a good fertilizer to use on all my plants new, old, roots, pots, ground???

Try for plants -- trees, perennials & shrubs slow acting fertilizers such as Espoma Plant Tone. For roses try Espoma Rose Tone.

I would also add Espoma Holly Tone if you have any evergreens, rhododendrons, and azaleas.
