Sorry, I haven't posted many garden pics lately. I've been trying to catch up on everything. I took a lot of pictures yesterday and today. I thought I'd share some of my tomatoes are finally coming in nicely.
Where I live, the first batch of fried green tomatoes always seem to taste best. 😃❤️

@cheriere Gorgeous !!! Wish I had even one to photograph. Lots of blooms since I lost all but three plants and all blooms in the storms so still have fingers crossed. Enjoy all your beauties!

Our tomato plants look completely anemic compared to these robust plants. For some reason this year they are not taking off very good. Maybe all the gazillion inches of rain we've had? My hubby planted them towards the end of May. You're very lucky to have tomatoes already! Never had fried green tomatoes but I have heard of them. @cheriere

Thank you so much.😃❤️
I mst admit, I've been excited to see them grow big enough to finally be able to fix a few this week.
I'm so sorry about the storms. They've been so hard on a lot of peoples plants. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you too.❤️

Your photos always look like textbook illustrations - you must have ten green fingers!

We've really had a hot, dry summer so far. Heck, this is the first time in years I've actually had to water things in the garden. I was really scared because of this.
Im hoping yours will turn out fine. It is actually really early for tomatoes to be this size. This year, everything has been so much earlier. We already have blackberries. Normally, we're not picking these until August. It's just been so hot and dry.

Are green tomatoes fruits that just haven't turned red yet ..... or are they green at maturity, and a different variety of red tomatoes?
(Never had a fried green tomato, but I always assumed they were just under-ripe red one, lol.)

Yes, there just tomatoes that haven't got ripe yet. We always buy a bundle of plants, so there's always way more than we need lol. In the past, we've canned tomato juice and tomatoes, but I'm not really sure we will this year. I might end up giving a bunch away.😃❤️
