We are setting record temperatures (above normal) this Fall.  It hasn't diminished the colour.

The first photo is our largest red maple, about ten years old, yet to take on it's fall colors.  If you look at the right side of the photo, the change in leaves has just begun...

One of our Canadian hemlocks.  This is my favorite evergreen tree.  In winter is drapes with snow.

This is the crimson lace maple we moved in the Spring.  It took to it's new home very well.  This tree gets to be 15' wide at full maturity.  As wide as it will be tall.

This oak tree was moved from DH's family home.  Happy in it's new place.

Wow!   Beautiful photos!   We don't get much color change in the lower desert.

@Desertdi@piperbay, the color I always hold my breath for are the Japanese Maples.  They get such a spectacular red.  The young oak is glorious too.  The mature ones don't look that good.  LM

@Lilysmom, your gardens are just as beautiful in the fall as in the full bloom of summer. Great pics. Thanks for posting them.

@LIG1, we do get black bears here.  I hope they aren't in the background.  DH has several apple trees though which are attractive to some wildlife.  We just bought a webcam and are seeing what comes to the yard at night.  LM

@Lilysmom

Your property is beautiful.

Amazingly 11/6 and we still have had no frost.  Things are still blooming; the roses are abundant.

@Lilysmom, as I have said to you before, truly a spiritual moment for me.  I am under a lot of work stress now & your “escape” is exactly what I needed.  Truly appreciated, now excuse me while I go back & look again...!
