Color has arrived, hydrangeas putting on a show!

This is my favorite time of year in the garden.  Almost everything is in bloom, the worst of the garden work is done and now we can enjoy the beautiful show the perennials, grasses, hydrangeas and trees put on.

No more projects this year!!!

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Thank you to everyone here for sharing their photos, suggestions and advice.  A good gardener is one who shares plants, information and friendship.  LM

All your gardens are so pretty,and i love all the extra's you add to it, where do you buy all those at? You are really so talented,maybe you should open up a design business.

@Lilysmom  Color indeed, wonderful!  I wish I could say we can sit back and enjoy, but we still have our noses to the ground preparing new beds. Smiley Happy

Great pictures...lots of work underlie them all.

One type of hosta in my yard is looking pretty ratty about now.  The other type is still gorgeous.

My hydrangeas have two or three flower heads and an army of leaves.  Last year they bloomed quite late.  I dried loads of them for a friend who was making a huge arrangement for her home.

@Lilysmom

Garden of Eden for sure.

It amazes me how you have everything blooming at one time.

My poppies were done two months ago, as well as the astilbe. Most of the daylilies finished up two weeks ago. Hosta is almost done. Hibiscus haven't started yet.  The hygrandea tree is in full flower now, it is my longest bloomer.  And I have a squash that is prolifically blooming but not forming any fruit, but at least I got color.

@goldensrbest, I pick pieces up here and there.  I make some but I buy most of them.  We have a very lively art community here in Nova Scotia.  LM

@jlkz, I haven't dried hydrangeas for a long time.  They are very pretty aren't they?  I almost never take flowers in but maybe I should try that this year.  LM

@Allegheny, the hydrangeas are my favorite.  They last so long.  LM
