I planted 3 easter lillies after they had stopped blooming. I put them near each other right beside our lanai. Last winter they grew and bloomed but were all too close and apparently needed thinned. So yesterday I dug up the bulbs - OMG they were huge , about as big as a baseball. So i broke them all apart and dug an area approx 4ft long and just spread out the pieces I had gotten from pulling the bulbs apart all across the trench I had dug.Did i do that properly? I put some all purpose plant food and covered them with topsoil. If all those grow I will have many many easter lillies this spring!
