Here is a picture of what I found in my garden in a large, deep empty flower pot yesterday, a long eared owlet.  The Wildlife Rescue came and took it, hopefully it will survive, but did not look as good as it did upon discoverey, very hot day.

@KingstonsMom   I never heard anything about the first two owlets I rescued years ago, so don't expect to this time, maybe better that I don't.

@KingstonsMom   I have to edit to say that the first two were taken to my then Vet as one was injured, so I did learn through my Vet that they both survived.

@catter70   No, never let me know about the first two I rescued years ago, but it just so happened that the injured owlet from years ago, sibling to the first one, found a week apart, was taken to my then Vet, so I did learn that they both survived, but they were in better condition than this poor little owlet.

@mousiegirl

I understand....sometimes it's better not to know and just hope for the best.

@KingstonsMom   I have rescued many birds and baby squirrels through the years, not to mention cats, dogs, and bunnies should write a book, lol.

What fantastic camouflage the little guy has.  Looks like a knott on a tree trunk. Hope he makes it.

Were having reports of people here finding dehydrated birds all over the place.  It is extremely hot, 102°, today and dry.  I'm keeping my birdbaths filled.
