The Q took a great brand that was affordable and ruined it.  The price increases were about the same time they introduced Gary and made him an expert, now they are "getting the buck".

Tommy H from Macy's is about the same quality at a lot lower prices...I moved on.

I think D&C items have very good to excellent cost-per-wear calculations. It lasts for years and their styles aren't too trendy so pieces can be worn for many years without looking outdated. For example, I wore a very old D&C peasant top the other day and someone complimented me and wanted to know where to buy one. They had no idea it was old and I told them so. They couldn't believe it. I believe you get what you pay for but also be smart and choose wisely...shop the sales and 'AS-IS'!Woman Happy

Seriously....has the price of anything gone down?  Just wait until a tariff gone on clothing and fabric from China.  A D& C shirt will last you a good 20 years if you treat it gently.  I've got many that are that old; I finally tire of them and donate.  I'd say they're in line with good quality shirts being sold at B&M stores.

@Mistreatedbycs.  You're entitled to your opinion of course, but I think Gary has done an outstanding job.  D&C before Gary was just 2-pocket pants and plain solid colored tees with a few cotton, wrinkly button up shirts.

I'd like people who criticize Gary to tell us what they would have done with a line of casual, denim-based clothing?  What could he do to improve?

@Kachina624

Please read again, there was no criticism towards that man just stating that

it was about that time when the pricing went sky rocketing.

Please note I never knock anyone down that works for the Q, everyone has a job to do, gets paid to do it and yes, we as consumers have the right to shop here or go elsewhere, it's pretty simple.

The only D&C product I have is a leather jacket, and it is simply wonderful. It fits perfectly ,and it  is high quality leather. I got it on clearance, last fall ,and couldn't believe my good fortune. I will get years of wear from this jacket

Prices are going up on everything, including D&Co.   But it does seem to me that D&Co prices are going up higher and faster than some QVC lines.  Years ago I bought bunches of D&Co items - they wore like iron and looked good for years.  To me, the quality and sizing has gone down as the prices have gone up.  Certainly no longer a "value."

Personally, I don't want clothes that "wear like iron" and last 20 years.  I want reasonably priced clothing, e.g. $20 for a top that will last a few years and then gets donated.  Unless the item is on sale D&C, unfortunately, is no longer in that category.
