If i hear the word "shackets" one more time, it's going to get ugly! It's right up there with Fri-yay. If hosts get paid to talk, they shouldn't abbreviate, to make less words.

ok, rant over.

I didn't even know that this is a word until I saw it on QVC. Is this a real word? How long has it been around? To me, it almost sounds like a bad word.

Shackets and shooties are words being widely used in the fashion industry.  Rather than getting ugly, just watch a religious channel and calm down or watch the news and get really ugly.

Shackets were trendy over the past two years. The hosts aren't making it up. If Hilaria Baldwin's jacket had buttons and was a little shorter, it would be the most viewed shacket of the past year.

You shouldn't have to hear that word too much longer - they're definitely going "out."

What does "shacket" mean?  Something + jacket, but I can't think what it comes from.

@Another new name Sue , perhaps it's a combination of "shirt" and "jacket"?

That's all I can think of.
