Why, do you object to the use of the hide of the animal?  Lambs and sheep are raised as meat animals.  Do you propose that the skin be thrown away or destroyed?  That would be very wasteful.  It makes a wonderfully soft leather.  Don't buy it if you wish but don't deny others the opportunity.

Some people object to the murder of baby animals. I would hazard to guess that the OP doesn't eat lamb or veal due to the cruelty. Same for fur. Death stinks any way you look at it,  but,  unnecessary cruelty is--unnecessary.

The operative words in your comment are "some people".  That doesn't mean that everyone objects to eating meat or to wearing/carrying something made of  leather.

I haven't seen a blue lamb lately - but seriously I don't think that jacket looked great on any of the models - nor Jill.  Through the TV it looks more like Susan G's fake leather.   I bought a basic brown lamb's leather jacket (not the jean jacket style) and although it's a nice rich looking jacket - I never wear it. While shopping it's just too warm so it hangs in the closet - for 10 years I'd estimate.

Amen to that.  How anyone could have a baby animal slaughtered when there are so many other types of food to eat is beyond me.  It makes me heartsick to know a baby animal was killed for a jacket, or even to eat.

People and animals eat animals.
