I am very fond of long cardigans and dusters. I always find several that I really like, but they are all open front.  Designers shoud  realize that not all of us want open  designs.  I am sure more would be sold. if they had either buttons, zippers, or a  matching tie belt. I would be so happy to see this. I hope all involved might take this into consideration. I have my eye on one chenille long sweater that I really want, BUT it's an open front!   I would welcome any suggestions.

Depending on handy you are - you could add a ribbon loop and button. 

I don't particularly care for buttons and zippers on sweaters - on the ones I've made I added short yarn chains that could be tied.

I have also added ties just under the bust line .

I can't wear either where I am as most of the year it is windy here so the open fronts are like signal flags docking a boat.  I do have a couple and wear them but I am really so over the fly-away look.....

You can buy a thin belt and belt it.  That's what I do.

Chadwick’s sells boyfriend cardigans in 3 lengths. They are v-neck and button front. I own 2 and like mine very much.

I am two short for any of them.  I can admire them but cannot wear them.
