I love so many of Kim's sweaters.  Howeveryou have to lay flat to dry.  Actually a lot of garments require that.  Does everyone have BIG homes?  I have a small place and I have pets,  No place to lay stuff all over to dry.  Not to mention a cat would find his way on top of the drying clothes.  Fur and wet make a disaster,  I can;t be the only one with limited soace.  What can folks share that they do to solve the problem.

I tend to put a lot of items in the dryer on air dry for a few minute then hang.  I can get away with hanging a lot of things. 

However I have a counter in my laundry room and purchased a stackable drying rack that I can place a few sweaters on flat to dry.  I also have a door to the laundry room which I would keep closed if I had a cat.

@anxious1.  Do you have a covered patio?  That's where I lay mine.  If necessary I can also arrange it flat on the back of the sofa and turn the ceiling fan on.

@anxious1  I have a stainless steel collapsible drying rack which I use in my bathroom or bedroom to dry a few things I don't put in the dryer.  I keep both doors closed at all times.

I have a cat & dog.  My bathroom & bedroom are off limits to them.  I don't sleep in their beds, use their bathroom so they don't use mine.

@anxious1 you can strategically lay them on a drying rack which could be set up in your bathtub (if space is an issue)  also, you roll them in a towel for a couple of hours & then lay  them on the drying rack. Different styles of drying racks are readily available at stores and online.

When we're at the condo, space for flat drying becomes a challenge.

We sometimes air dry in the dryer for a few minutes and then using a thick or microfiber towel, roll the item  and knead it on the table for a few minutes and then either hang on a collapsible rod dryer ( if really heavy, I spread it over 2 rungs ) or use 2 shower curtain rods.

Shower curtain rods: I rest them on the long wall of the shower and when needed, I roll them away from the wall and draped the item over one or two....if heavy, use 2 spread apart to even out the weight.

I think I will try the air dryer.  Sadly I always wanted a laundry room but never had one!  Washer and dryer in garage with no counter or sink (also wanted lol) the car and lots of stuff no place else to put.

I dry things in the dryer for a few minutes then hang over the back of a chair.  I have a table and chairs downstairs in the family/lgame room and I even lay things on the table.

That rack that Mz iMac posted is handy - my Mom had one of those - she'd set it up in the bathtub.  Her was wooden.

I don't have much room either so I got one of these stacking sweater-drying racks. Find them on amazon. They have different number shelves depending on what you need.

If I only have 1 I hang over the washer lid.

More than that I do the same as @haddon9 I'll air dry on low in the dryer for a few minutes then hang them.
