Looking for gray capris (at least 20" long). Have always shopped in store at kohl's but thought I would try online for the first time (better choice of sizes). Since I'm not sure if I'm an 8 or 10. I thought I'd order both.

Waqs wondering...

-can I return at the store?

--if my return lowers my total below the free shipping price, will they go back and add on shipping fee?

Thanks, in advance, for your responses!

btw welcome any other suggestions for grey capris - casual everyday with some stretch and zip closure.

in case anyone is interested...i spoke to cs in an online chat and learned the following:

me: if i purchase online and qualify for free shipping, then have to return an item...if I go below the free shipping amt after return, will i be charged for the original shipping charges?

Celine S.: Great question!

Celine S.: If you are not charged shipping at your time of order, you will not be assessed a shipping fee with a return

me: sounds good. just checking - even if the rest of your order is below free shipping amt?

Celine S.: That is correct. After the order ships, we cannot increase a purchase amount.

That's good to know. I wondered if companies would add shipping if you returned something and went below free ship amount.

Yep. That's happened to me, and Kohl's never tries to collect the shipping charge.

The same goes for Macy's. If you qualify for free shipping ($99 online, or $50 if you make your order from inside the store), you'll never be charged for shipping even if clothing is returned.

Same for Talbot's. Free shipping is always free (if for example you order using the in-store phone).
