Hi ladies!

I have tried Women with Control prime stretch denim, quaker factory, and Belle by Kim Gravel.  None of these worked for me, for a variety of reasons.

Which companies on QVC, and specifically which style looks the most like real denim, but has stretch to it?

Thanks for all your help.

Candace Cameron Bure is 98% cotton, 2% spandex.

Denim:

Cambridge Dictionary

thickstrong cotton cloth, often blue in color, used especially for making jeans:

Wikipedia:

Denim is a sturdy cotton warp-faced textile in which the weft passes under two or more warp threads. This twill weaving produces a diagonal ribbing that distinguishes it from cotton duck

Real or true denim has always been 100% cotton.  I think adding 2% spandex is fine.  Candace said on air all cotton denim is the real denim.

Some here claim real denim can be made from other fibers and any fiber can be made into denim by using the denim weave and calling it Denim.  Without at least 97% cotton, it is not Denim to the purists and the more traditional jeans manufacturers.

This from Levi's website

Notice it only references cotton.

how is denim fabric made

The denim production process begins with the cultivation of the cotton plant. As a protective measure, this plant develops a thick ball of fibers around its small black seeds as it grows, and these fibers can be collected and separated from their seeds to make fabric.

Denim purists do not agree that Denim can be made from any fabric.

Polyurethane is not real leather.  Faux fur is not real fur.  Acrylic is not real wool.  Polyester is not real silk. Polyester, nylon, and tencel, combined do not make 100% real denim.

Levi's, Wrangler, and Gloria Vanderbuilt, and others, as well as Candace are selling real Denim. I don't think QVC sells Wrangler.  There might be other brands, as well.

You have to be careful though, because Levi's and I believe Wrangler do make multi-fabric jeans, as well.

I haven't purchased Candace's denim jeans, but her pants fit me very well and good quality.

Denim is a weave that can be made of any fabric content.  I personally like D&C Easy Fit jeans.

Isaac Mizrahi has stretch denim made with cotton/poleyester/rayon/spandex.  They are called 24/7, but are listed as stretch denim, and they are pricey.

You may have to check in other places, Belk, Blair, Northstyle to name a few.  It is hard when you have decided what you want and then have difficulty finding what seems to be a common fashion item.  Good luck.

That means you don't like denin with stretch.  You are not going to like any stretch denim regardless of what designer name is on the label.  You need 100% denim and I don't think any QVC sells it.

@JesssMe

LOGO has some great jeans, all lengths. Most are real denim with spandex. She has a few knit styles also.  Her best seller is boyfriend style.  All are soft and very comfortable.

Personally, I like Laurie Felt jeans over Kim Gravel's. I tend to like a little stretch. Otherwise, 100% denim is stiff and scratchy.

@JesssMe It's "pedal" pushers!  Because when I was young in the 1960's it's what you wore pushing the pedals on your bicycle, if you were lucky and your folks could afford one, where I lived.
