Based on a quick check of their website, Talbots has between 42 and 45 plus size cardigan sweaters. Some are chunky and some are lighter weight. Most are not oversized, but you could size up if you saw something you really liked. I'd imagine Lands End and L. L. Bean have them. Finally, check out the Acorn website. I got a beautiful Irish sweater from them years ago. Hope this helps!

My first suggestion would be to learn to knit and crochet. 

Seriously .... check out Amazon.  Some great looking sweaters.

Just want something to throw on over tops to  keep warm while doing errands,nothing expensive.
