Louis, you know I cannot stand a verbal vacuum when I think something positive should be stated. In this instance, it is a “hurrah” for chili pepper. What a juicy, yummy shade that can be worn well by nearly everyone (maybe everyone). My first exposure to it was that roll tab button front shirt with belt (A22656), and there was more yellow in that garment than I prefer. So I, a lover of cooler reds, wasn’t thrilled and sort of felt “meh” toward the popular shade. But then I picked up the pebble crepe tunic in chili pepper and had an aha moment. That was the chili pepper for me and the one everyone has been oohing and aahing over, I figured. I am buying it here and there now as I go along. Picked up a couple of your new chili pepper WKs already. Love this color!

The colors chosen were always the ones I'd been favoring for years so I really didn't learn anything. I remember once at a fancy charity event the woman said,"I bet you can wear hot pink." Hot pink is what I wear in the summer when I move away from red. Lightening my hair from a light auburn brown to dark blonde didn't make any difference.
I have never had my 'colors' done but I am a dark brown eyed dark brunette with olive skin tones. These results qualify as a 'winter'. Winters from one of these websites on the net says: for me that I am a 'deep winter'. I look good in jewel tones.

I may be confused on the seasonal coloring thing - I always thought summers and winters have more of a pink/blue undertone in skin, and springs and autumns were more yellow based or olive skin tones. I am very fair, pink undertones, blonde, green eyes, and have been told numerous times I am a summer. I look best in clear, cool colors - anything with a warm yellow undertone makes me look kind of ill. My sister has olive skin, dark hair, brown eyes, and is an autumn. She glows in warm, earthy colors (along with some jewel tones).
Am I really "off"? Like someone else said, I have always gravitated to colors I get compliments on, anyway. I like what I like.

My scoop neck short sl WK in chilli pepper came today. It's the color I thought it would be: more of a brick red. I'll wear it today to the doctor and unless she says I look sick (certain colors do that to me; I'll keep it. It will be great under my JR paisley jacket in brown, my feather skirt and smashing with turquoise jewelry. Also, I thought Louis said he has a cotton summer skirt in black and chilli pepper. If I had to name it I'd call it "Paprika;" not far off because paprika is made from dried peppers, just not chilli's.

I got the most recent OTO short sleeved cardigan in chili pepper. I think OP's description is correct, chili pepper a brown/brick shade of red..... very similar to color burgundy. I like this chili pepper way better than true red; true red or apple red is too harsh on me.

On the color chart above it would be carnelian. I look best in true red but can wear some blue reds. No wines or burgundies. Did anyone else say they heard Louis mention a cotton skirt in chilli pepper and black?

Yes, there is an ikat print, straight knee length skirt coming. The print is in chili pepper and black, I believe.
