So, I tuned in to A.M. Style this morning and saw this jacket. It is listed as a velveteen blazer and sells for $48 from D&Co.

This one, from IM sells for $65.58 and it is listed as a velvet blazer. If you read the reviews, it says that it is really VELOUR, and not velvet.

I know that velvet(een) pieces are higher priced (especially if they are lined) but it seems to me that the D&Co. blazer is priced too high or the IM is priced too low. It seems that the brands at the Q are starting to run together in the same price points (unless it's the KDash and other celebrity lines).

I won't be getting either because I have a fluffy puffy cat whose hair invades every garment, but I thought the comparison was interesting. Others have commented on the rising prices of D&Co.
