Zoom function

Has anyone else tried to use the zoom feature on .com items since the most recent changes in the website? I tried to use it today to look at a Carolyn Pollack necklace. Instead of being able to navigate within the frame, you now are forced to zoom into wherever the zoom lense takes you. Unfortunately, on this item, it took me to the white space behind it. LOL! I tried to navigate around to see the necklace I was trying to view, but no such luck. Maybe they don't want us to see items up close? I liked being able to navigate around the photo but they must have eliminated that feature. It's a shame because that was one of the few changes I liked.
