Re: Wow things are getting expensive

The clothing prices are ridiculous....However, shoe prices are about the same or less than real stores.  If the quality of the clothing was top notch it might be okay but the last time I got D&C the seams were twisted and they shrunk like crazy in length.

It’s not just the Q. All clothing prices are ridiculously high.

I keep wondering who the Q’s target audience is that they would pay so much for garments that IMO are just not worth the money (incl. shipping).

@Shanus

In an interview Mike George described the Q customer as follows:

"Our customer is a 35- to 65-year-old woman with a somewhat above-average income, The sweet spot of the household income level for QVC goes from $50,000 to $250,000."

(I cant post the article because the page has ads, and QVC doesnt alllow links with ads)  Personally I think the Q customer is more 45 to 70 year old woman.

That's some range on the income "sweet spot".

@gidgetgh @Shanus

With that wide of a range that leads me to believe that Mr. George and Q Execs dont have a clue---LOL

I know she claims to be "queen of pants" but her pants are very ill fitting IMO.  I can wear pants from every other QVC line, but hers don't fit worth a darn.

She seems to tailor her pants to women who are built like she is.  If you're not, they won't work for you.  Just take a look how they fit the models.

@Lila4Now

I"m not built like SG at all.  I have absolutely no hips or thighs.  I buy my pants according to hip measurement and the fit is perfect.  Of all QVC brands, SG's pants are overall the best fit for me.  My pants DO NOT fit like sausage skin.

I didn't say ther pants fit like sausage skin.  For most of us there is far too much fabric in the lower hip and upper thigh.  I don't want pants tight in that area either, but too much fabric makes you look larger than you really are.  Susan should know this.

@Spurt  Yep. Seems to include almost all ages of women and incomes. Research?

Pretty sweater on 3-29 A 302643, but, not for over 80.

Her clothes are just getting out of reach for me. Might as well quit tuning in

Re: Wow things are getting expensive

I'm pretty sure I can walk into Macy's, Dillards, Kohl's or any other medium priced B&M store and buy a really nice pair of capri's for a lot less, plus no shipping charges. The price of the SG capris at $60+ is way beyond what I'd consider even remotely reasonable, without even adding on tax and shipping!

In Tx. tax is 8.25% and shp is 3, so, capri's at 63.50 is at 72 bucks for me.

It's laughable, the price on her clothes.  None of them are worth even near what she charges.  At clearance price, they are still too high for what they are . . . . . cheap polyester.
