Some like certain looks - some don't but it's her hair/her choice!!! I think it suits her personality and she looks great.

I can understand saying you don't like someone's hair color, or think they would look better with another color choice, but I don't understanding asking "why" they do it. Answer: Because they want to? Same reason anyone would post something. . .

I Ta With poster. Looks ugly. She looked better natural. Properly a wig.

She appears to be a person that enjoys life and doesn't take it too serious...my guess for the hair color choice would be just for fun because she does change it up a lot.I love her presentations and really miss the dancing...always lots of laughs.

Her really thick NYC accent grates on me a lot more than her hair does!

I'm not sure I understand the question. Why does anyone color their hair? Why single out Renee?
While I agree with you, Jill Martin takes a lot of hits on this board for her bleached hair as well. I think a lot of it has to do with not liking Jill though. There are a lot of vendors on QVC who have very bleached hair and it's never mentioned. Not that it should be.

I think the more significant question is why do you care?
On a side note Renee's is the only line of clothing on the Q I've ever purchased (outerwear) and I was happy with it. I did pick up a Breezie's bra once when it was a TSV

OP, thanks for expressing you thoughts. Rene's hair color bothers me because as a woman of color, and deep color at that, she demonstrates a sad but pervasive practice in America. The cultural ideal is the pale, blue eyed blonde.
Research proves that even as small children we all choose Blonde Barbie above all other options.
I wish Rene could see what you see but apparently she sees something else and likes what she sees. And, yes, that is her prerogative. I dislike what her choices say to the rest of us , especially the children.
From a purely aesthetic point of view the colors clash, they're dissonant. Consult any artist's primer.
From a cultural perspective the fashion statement is just short of traitorous. I too wonder why she is dissatisfied with the beautiful chocolate skin and raven hair she was given. She was a fit model for goodness sake, paid for the use of her perfect body, used as a standard for the rest of us. She travels the world over, attending the Haute Couture fashion shows. She sees, up close and personal the beauties of the world. Not one of supermodels whom she resembles among makes the same choice in hair color. Even Iman who regularly sports one of her blonde wigs chooses a complimentary blend of shades of auburn and blonde. ( and admittedly, as a WOC , every time I see her she makes me feel a bit ashamed , like Dennis Rodman (?sp) )

I see one posters point about a WOC but honestly, I really feel Rene may be like my friend, who is asian, and likes to bleach her black hair blonde. They do it for a statement and to be different maybe? I know my friend said it takes too much to get her hair that blonde and she decided to try hair extensions rather than bleaching it out. I know she does it for the effect and it just appeals to her sense of eclectic style. I see many different colors of hair out there and most are doing it out of a statement or style ideal rather than anything else.

I appreciate your input ! I admire each racial composition in its purest forms. Raven hair dyed yellow just doesn't fit any of them.
