I am not sure where to post this. I used to own lots of wigs... fashion of the times I guess. I no longer have them and was thinking once again to get just one. I got a small flyer from a catalogue purchase the other day. And I was checking to see if anyone ever dealt with this brand....PAULA YOUNG.
I have plenty of hair. I use no product. My hair is silver and is full of natural curl and shine. I just want to easily change me up LOL for the fun of it. I want to plop it on and wear it. That simple.
If anyone has any experience with Paula Young products or any ideas of another source... please post. I don't want to over pay and or anything I do pay I want to count for something nice.

I believe that @Annabellethecat66 is a wig devotee, but I don't know about the brands. Perhaps she will check in here.

@bonnielu Due to the fragile nature of my hair wigs I have worn wigs my entire adult life. I also enjoy wearing wigs for the sake of using them as a fashion accessory for wearing different hairstyles and color without making a long term commitment. I can tell you that Paula Young is a well established trusted wig seller. They sell wigs under the label of Paula Young, but also feature other brand names in their catalogues and on their website. Since there are so many wig sellers online today, for anyone who is not sure of where to shop Paula Young would be on the list I would recommend.

@bonnielu I just recently purchased 2 Paula Young wigs. I will tell you, read reviews on anything you are considering. Only purchase if they have really good reviews. It takes forever for a refund. I kept 1 wig, & returned 1. I have short gray hair, I purchased the "rooted" color #56, wig name is Janine. It is a pretty silvery gray with very dark roots. I believe the returned wig was "Victoria". I wanted to love this wig, but it was too much hair on 1 side, and looked very fake.

Thanks, I wish I hadn't discarded my old wigs in every color in the book. Now I just want to have my silver white hair in a different style without the fuss. I just have to figure out my head size. Probably BIG LOL

@bonnieluI did post (I thought here) that I only wear Toni Brattin wigs. I've tried several different brands (not as many as some but all that's sold on HSN and QVC and a few others and I always come back to Toni Brattin.
Maybe it's just a matter of preference as I don't pretend to be all knowing when it comes to wigs. I do know that (and I don't think these people are just being nice) that I've gotten many compliments on my "hair".
I've had people ask me to give them the name of my hairdresser! Ha! I was with my friend while she was at HER hairdresser and while there 2 different hairdressers commented on how cute my hair looked and they loved the color, etc.
I normally have dark brown hair but I've been coloring it since I was a teenager. I used to color it myself a kind of very strawberry blonde. I'd get a lot of compliments on it but my late husband teased me that it looked orange (it didn't). Once I started going to a hairdresser because I couldn't keep ahead of the grey around my face, I stopped getting compliments (maybe because the hairdressers convinced me I needed to go back to brown? I don't know.
Anyway, with Toni's wigs I wear a kind of blonde color. It isn't real long and I'm convinced that's one of the reasons it looks real. I've never thought that long straight wig looks real on anyone, just my thoughts.
So, to summarize. I'm not an aficionado on wigs. I only know what I wear every time I leave the house and I get compliments on my hair. There have been times when (to my friend's horror) I've said to the person, "It's a wig! Here you want it". Ha! I'd never give it to them....just teasing! It isn't easy being my friend if you are quiet and conservative because I'm very outspoken and love, love strangers. When my friend leaves the table to go to the bathroom she often says, "OK, so I'm leaving this table. When I come back I don't want to see strangers sitting with us or standing talking to you". In all fairness, sometimes it does happen. Like I said, I love talking to people.....all people!
Don't know if this helps. QVC a few months ago had Toni Brattin on their show. I believe they sold out. I bought I think that time it was maybe 2 of them. I hate the one's that have dark roots. That's stupid! Many people wear wigs so they don't have to color their hair due to dark roots, why in the world would one choose to wear dark roots? Beats me!

@Annabellethecat66 The dark roots kind of confuse me as well but I guess everyone is entitled to what they want and looks good on them. I am silver... totally.. And did not know it. I prefer to remain silver. My hair is my best feature. I wanted to have a wig so I could have a different look once in awhile.

@bonnielu I'll bet you look beautiful with your silver hair. My favorite (one of them) nieces has totally silver hair. She wears it page style.
Her Dad (my late sister's ex-husband) was gray very early.
