I have a lot of summer wide leg pants INC from Macy’s. I’m 5’2” and wear a size 4. I don’t feel because of my height the wide leg pants make me look heavy.

@Leggett28    NOTHING will make a size 4 "look heavy" !!!!!

@Andreatoo, I would have never guessed you are 5'2".  I have thin legs and like the fact that the palazzos tend to hide that aspect! You definitely look great in the wide leg pants!

@jannabelle1   I think Andreatoo is adorable in everything she wears.  What a thin waist and great shape.  I think she looks great in the wide leg pants.

You should pair a wide leg pant with a more fitted top.  Otherwise, you will look big all over.  You are tall, so I'm sure they look great on you!  A fitted shorter top that falls at the waist with a cropped more fitted jacket is also nice, like a cropped denim jacket.  Just make sure the top is more fitted and not flowing or a tunic.

I am seeing a lot more of pants with a wider leg.  People on t.v. seem to be wearing them more and I think they are nice looking.  Personally, I prefer ones with a bit of a wider leg.  I think they are more flattering than the skin tight, very, very slim ones.  I don't mean the ones with the huge legs on them, but a more fluid stype.  I think you sound like you have a perfect build for them and I am sure you look very nice in them!

I sadly forgot to mention my weight--- 160!  Quit smoking in 2011 and gained 30 lbs!  Anyway---that's ok!  I have gotten in the mindset of wearing tunics to hide my tummy bulge---finally found the right cut and fabric for that,  sorta.  So, I know more fitted tops go with the wide leg, but --- that bulge---! I am proud to have a pretty healthy body so feel ungrateful complaining about fit of clothes----but you know how women are??? Thank you for the info, help and kind words!  Will try to look my best in comfortable, clean decent clothes and be myself!

@pietook  You may be able to pull them off because of your height but personally, I think they make women look bigger than what they are.

@Katcat1   I agree. I think besides being taller, because the bottoms would be wider/loser fit, to make it work and look balanced the top should be close fitting. I've also noticed that most of these pants are higher waisted. That doesn't work on my shorter torso.
