I am a senior---not someone who just follows the trend---but, i like to be "sorta" in style!  I googled wide leg pants for 2020 and seemed like they were in style.  Any thoughts from you fashionistas?  I wear a size 12, 5"8"---- a little tummy pouch!  I bought a few pr last Summer and enjoyed them----wondering if I should be looking for more.  I only have trouble finding the right top----where if fall on the hip etc.  Any suggestions there?  I love this forum and learning about all kinds of things! Thanks in advance!

@pietook  You may be able to pull them off because of your height but personally, I think they make women look bigger than what they are.

@pietook

I love a wide leg trouser on occasion! They're comfy and they look terrific with the right top. I prefer the structure of a woven and I think it's important that they fit through the waist and hips.

 Think they look great on tall people.

They aren't a good look on me.  I'm short, and they make me look heavier than I am.

@pietook, I'm also a senior and absolutely love wide leg pants (palozzo pants). I especially like them in lightweight material in the summer because they are so cool, i.e. they don't stick to your skin. I'm 5'4" and always buy petite, and regularly get compliments when I wear them. One of my favorites from the Q is A306431 (regular length for you) from Women with Control. I bought two pair last summer and practically lived in them (no tummy control). They're less than $40. Susan Graver also has nice lightweight wide leg pants as well. Wear what makes you feel good and what's comfortable. Some on this forum do not like wide leg pants, and that's fine for them. But I wear what I like and what I feel attractive in (and others tell me the same thing).

@pietook Wide legs are going forward very strongly, not only in denim, but also in slacks and different lengths that look good with tall boots similar to gauchos.

I higlly reccommend Busbee Style.  Erin has a good sense of style, a nice way about her, and believes in balance and quality.  She is petite, but talks about all heights and sizes while stressing to be yourself.

I'm short and would look awful in those.

I live in black leggings in fall/winter.

@Daisy Sunflower You might like to try "stove pipe".  They're more scaled down for the petite frame.
